David Clutterbuck is one of Europe's most prolific and well-known management writers and thinkers. He has written more than 40 books and hundreds of articles on cutting edge management themes.
David is perhaps best known in recent years for his work on mentoring and coaching, on which he consults around the world. His books on these subjects include, Everyone Needs a Mentor, Mentoring in Action and Making Coaching Work.
He heads the UK research committee of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and maintains an extensive and continuous programme of research in his own right. His latest research has been into the under-explored territory of team coaching – these results will be published as Coaching the Team at Work, in 2007.
David describes his role as asking EDQs – extremely difficult questions – and helping people and organisations to come up with their own, unique answers. In his workshops and seminars around the world, he draws upon a wide and distinctive portfolio of provocative exercises and analyses to help people and organisations challenge and overcome their limiting assumptions.
As a habitual self-developer, he attempts to practice what he preaches – for example, by learning a new sport every year!
